Al-Shia Website

The term Shia means follower. Shiites are those who accepted the leadership and Imamate of Ali ibn Abi Ṭālib (peace be upon him) after the Messenger of God (peace be upon him and his family) and based on his commandments. Today, the world’s Shiite population is estimated to be 200 million people.

In this regard, the scientific, cultural and ideological al-Shia website affiliated with the Aalul-Bayt (a.s) Global Information Center under the the office of the Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Hosseini Sistani (may his authority be prolonged) and the supervision of his Eminence Hujjat al-Islam Wal-Muslimin Haj Sayyed Javad Shahrishtāni (may his honor be preserved) was launched in 1998 (1377 S.H.) with the aim of propagating the pristine Shia teachings and answering the moral, religious and jurisprudential questions of the Shia community around the globe using the living languages ​​of the world.

By presenting more than ten thousand articles using reliable and scientific sources in the form of a diverse list of more than 400 titles and sub-titles, this database is a comprehensive reference in Shia studies. This database also operates to provide the following services:
