The people of Karbala, in cooperation with the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them), organized a ceremony of raising the flag of condolence on the death anniversary of the immaculate lady Zaynab (peace be upon her).
The ceremony was held at the Qibla gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), in the presence of the secretary-general of the Al-Abbas’s (p) shrine; Sayed Mustafa Mortada Aal Dia-Uddin, a number of its officials, in addition to a delegation from the Imam al-Hussayn’s (p) shrine, representatives of the parties of Karbala and its processions and bodies, and a group of mournful visitors.
The events included the holding of a condolence Council and the chanting of Lamentations that recalled the sacrifices of Aqeela Zaynab (peace be upon her) amid an atmosphere of sadness and sorrow that overshadowed those present.
