On Saturday, January 22, 2023, The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has issued a message to condemn, in the strongest terms, the insulting act of burning the holy Qur’an by far-right activists in Sweden.
In a statement, OIC Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha also criticized the Swedish authority for issuing permission for Qur’an burning.
Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, therefore, urged the Swedish authorities to take necessary measures against the perpetrators of this heinous crime and he called for collective international efforts to block similar measures and support the fight against Islamophobia.
