Iraq’s highest Shiite authority, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, extended his heartfelt condolences in a message that read:
Today’s terrorist incident in Kerman province, which killed hundreds of innocent people, brought a lot of sorrow and grief, Grand Ayatollah Sistani of Iraq said in a statement.
“We offer our condolences to the bereaved families and the noble people of Iran for this tragic tragedy. And we ask the God Almighty for forgiveness and divine grace for the dear martyrs, and the wounded, a speedy recovery,” the Shia cleric further said.
