The departure of the great divine scholar, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Musawi al-Baaj, at the age of 105, and one of the Ulema of the city of Najaf al-Ashraf.
He was the trust of the eminent scholars since the 1940s, as he was the representative of the late Marja’ Sayyid Abu al-Hasan al-Isfahani, Marja’ Sayyid Hussein al-Hammami, Marja’ Sayyid Muhsin al-Hakim, Marja’ Sayyid Abu al-Qasim al-Khoei, and a colleague of the contemporary Marja’s and their absolute trust, the pious, devout and diligent Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Ba’aj (may God Almighty have mercy on him).
