A Prominent Pakistani Scholar, Sheikh Mohsen Najafi Passed Away

On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, a top Pakistani scholar, a Qur’anic exegete, Sheikh Mohsen Ali Najafi departed this mortal life to meet his Lord.

Sheikh Mohsen Ali Najafi is one the prominent Shiite scholars and supporters of the Islamic Revolution of Iran who has many works in Arabic, Urdu and Persian languages. He was the president of the Supreme Council of the Ahl Al-Bayt (as) Assembly in Pakistan, the founder of the Jamia Ahl-Bayt Islamic Seminary, the Jamia Al-Kawthar Islamic Seminary, Uswah Educational System and several private colleges in Pakistan.

Sheikh Najafi studied in the Holy city of Najaf in the presence of great teachers such as the late Ayatollah Khoei and martyr Ayatollah Muhammad Baqir Sadr and he was until his death the representative of the top Shia authority; Ayatollah Sistani (May his authority be prolonged) in Pakistan.
